Participatory event at Ceramics Ireland International Festival, Kilkenny

For this event I initiated the collaborative building and firing of a natural kiln made from newspaper and mud. Participants at the festival were invited to drop in and out of the workshop throughout the day staying for as long as they like to engage with process, materials and dialogue.

The purpose of the workshop was to create a space for hands on making at an event that is predominantly about attending talks, it functioned an ice breaker activity for meeting other attendees while demonstrating an alternative firing technique in a creative way.
